First trip this year. And with friends. I have visited this town many times and it's still lovely. I'd say the point of this trip was to get out of home and familiar places to enjoy something remotely like a trip. We did want to look for something distant or hard to get to or even taking a lot of time to get to. SO we have chosen Sergiev Posad. This town is closely tied with Russian Orthodox Church having tons of temples and a monastery. I highly recommend to visit it because they have a super delicious bakery inside, not a joke really. The museums were closed and it was a bit cold outside but we walked a lot anyway. And had a fine meal together. If you ask me, it is very close to perfection.
As for my outfit... I wanted to keep warm, that is why it looks a lot like what I wear to walk my dogs, lol. I tried to make it all look more pretty with long scarf (I have a soft sot for it) and cute mittens. But that's it really.
H&M scarf
Tommy Hilfiger boots
Levi's jeans
Uniqlo hoodie and long coat
Have a nice day,
Lyosha
How fun! Except for the snow, I am SO OVER snow lol.
ReplyDeleteme too! I hate it!
DeleteWow! It looks so beautiful there. What a gorgeous place!
ReplyDeletethe creation of beauty is art.
It looks very cold, but also very pretty there! I love the light colors in the architecture. I have not heard of this city before, and it is nice to have some places to explore in the winter.
ReplyDeleteif you ever come to Moscow it's worth the shot: it's a little over an hour by suburban train so it's both cheap and fast enough
DeleteWow! I would love to visit this city. It looks so picturesque. Although I would have to go when it's not cold because I hate cold weather! :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful place. Thanks for sharing a lot of pics.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a beautiful place with churches and monastery. It looks like freezing cold but must be nice to go out and experience it!
ReplyDeleteI love road trips and this looks fabulous with the snow around. I am craving to travel in a car, and enjoy the beauty of nature
ReplyDeleteThis city of Sergiev Posad looks wonderful through the pictures, and this winter image makes it even more magical. Although I would have preferred to visit it in the warmer months.
ReplyDeleteI wish you all the best
Nina
Love the snow and love the pictures
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to be fashionable when it is freezing out. I have a leopard coat that makes me fashionable in the winter.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like such a neat spot to explore. I'd love to get here one day. I am amazed by the architecture.
ReplyDeleteHahaha looking at you all wrapped up and the snow and here I am in Southern California throwing on a sweater! I have no idea how I ever managed with "real seasons". Enjoy the snow!
ReplyDeleteTo be honest I am wearing a thermo-lingerie here and it was very cold.. I'd say it was more than desire just to go there than any other 'normal' reason. I would totally settle for South California sweater weather
DeleteIt's amazing that you can travel. We have to refrain from travel because there is a pandemic. The town looks so cute - very Russian, obviously ;-)
ReplyDeleteThis looks amazing. Nice that you can travel during this time. Stay safe!

ReplyDeleteThis place looks so beautiful! I'd love to see such beautiful snow someday. Living in such a hot place (Australia), we don't get snow like this. Some places snow a little, so I have seen some of it, but nothing like this before. I'd love to go overseas someday and see this kind!
ReplyDeleteI think snow is great for vacation destination, not daily life, heheh

ReplyDeleteI am a firm believer that a scarf has the power to make an outfit, especially this time of year! You need to be warm, so why not make it fashionable? Right? You look warm and cozy, and the pop of colours from the scarf is fun!
ReplyDeleteSergiev Posad seems to be a really nice place and perfect for the first trip of the year.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely place to visit! We don't see anything like that here, it never snows and the buildings are so pretty! you look so warm and cosy and the scarf is a fun touch of colour :)
