In fact in my day to day life I often wear backpacks. I love them, they are adorable and comfortable and in that case I carry more items not feeling full in bag, without loosing time trying to put things can not literally be put any longer or experiencing miracle of endless time consuming female bag. So backpack that is. I do have a lot of bags and love wearing them (I'm more a bag-lady than a shoe-lady) but backpack is often the only option I can have. Plus the fun of backpacks is that you can easily share same backpacks with your husband/brother/etc most of the time. I can't really imagine my hubs wearing my panda backpack but for example my big military-like green backpack easily. This is probably my favorite option for backpack because it can be worn as a bag normally which is great for trips but also for day to day life - fitness, work (esp if you have to carry some items with you), in public transport where bag is more comfortable than a backpack.
