Talking about hair

If you read my blog carefully you might remember or at least know couple of months ago I cut my hair. I mean I let my hairdresser cut my hair. I was so excited about it! I trust this fellow so much I waited over a month to set an appointment and even picked not most comfortable date to see him. That is how much I liked his job before. He was also excited to see me and get his hands on my hair. Can you imagine my distress when it went wrong. He did his best but we both are not happy with result. My hair looked bad messy and cut too short. Instead of complimenting my face and features it made me look odd. For over two months I barely took of my hat. I mean I did it only to sleep and work out. Yeah I was that insecure about my looks. I considered hair extensions and wigs. A part of me was ready to cute it even shorter to at least get rid of lack of hair on my right side. But I managed to live through this only using hats, caps and berets.  I just hope right now I wasn't way too opened and honest about my insecurity in my own looks. I know it isn't much but it's really disorienting for person 100% happy and in peace with her body.
Now it's all better. My hair look attractive and even my mom mentioned how cool my hair looked when I've been waiting for her. I'd say my hair now are long enough. But with all that time I wanted to do something about it I started wanting some kind of extreme change. I can't color my hair because of allergy so I normally go for some kind of unusual cut. Also my hair are super straight so I don't have as much styling options as many other people (like my husband of example). Bt to tell the truth I always wanted curls. My cousin and niece both have wonderful curly hair. Like really curly hair. I have always wanted that curl cloud my head on. But it just won't hold. At least it was before. But with strong styling and a nice and easy curling iron things might change. And I actually can look like below with enough effort.
The only thing I need not to pay lots of money to achieve it (I mean doing it at home and not going to hair salon to get your hair done) is to buy curling iron. Do you have any suggestions for me? I'm googling but still can't fully understand what kind of result I want in the end of a day. I liked this two options (clickable) the most but I am still not sure. Any help my all mighty readers?

The first is budget friendly and simple to use. I didn't want to invest to much for a start, you know. However second option is way more expensive but has so many extra options which is making it a great option. I mean I might use it in the other way right? More options more changes it would work.
Also what styling would you suggest to make it last for at least three hours?

Have a nice day,
Lyosha

  1. I think your hair looks really gorgeous! It is always hard when you want to make a change with your style but wind up unhappy about the result. Thankfully, hair grows, but it can be challenging when you are waiting for that to happen!

  3. I think your hair looks lovely, although it's so frustrating that you didn't like it when you first got it cut!

I don't have a lot of time to curl my hair but when I do I use the Remington perfect curls one - my sister borrowed a friends one and we bought rushed out to buy it afterwards, haha! I use a heat protector, the curler, and then some hairspray and I can have curls for 3 days, it really works for my fine hair! :)

Hope that you are having a nice weekend, and you find something that works for your hair :)

  4. I don't have suggestions for a curler, but bought classic steam rollers and they're decent as well! Your hair looks lovely!

Red and yellow

Did ever sit next your computer and have in fact nothing to say? That's what happens to me now.  I have wonderful outfit I wore simply to have a small walk with my dear husband which I actually put on because I wanted to look pretty and feminine. I didn't put a lot of effort in it, simply combining items which came in mind that time. Overall nothing special. I wanted to add some red in my look basically because have't worn it for ages. Do you remember my post about travel  ootd? - it was my last moment of wearing red. The coat I wear is my good old fave, a lot like friend you know. I don't wear it often but when I do I feel special. I can't help but add also a funny picture of me because it's Friday after all! I was wearing: Mango red coat Topshop bag Alba boots not branded skirt, top and scarf headband c/o Frontrowshop   Have a nice day, Lyosha

What's in my bag?

I never did such post and really wanted to fill in the blanks here. Moreover I wanted to do it because I recently got two items which are hard to show in the outfit but are part of my daily life and style for sure. Plus it's it fun to have a closer look in my daily life? That's why I want to show you my bag contents. When I'm not wearing a backpack which usually means I have a sports uniform inside or planning or carry something more or less big or going for some travels (so I need my hands as free as possible) I tend to use smaller scale bags. The point is to have only minimum of necessary things with me and not to loose something important. This time I'm featuring my recently most loved bag by NewChic (you can shop it here ). Usually I have a wallet with me. When who doesn't? We still money to life, right? It is my very new and super comfy wallet which was provided by great company NewChic  I recently posted two posts with their awesome items here and h...

Music

Every family have traditions. Some migrate from families you come from (your parents), some migrate from your partner and his family, some take roots in your or your partner's own living while some you create by yourself as family. The latter are the most exciting. Sometimes one time deal become important because you like it so much! Sometimes, you don't really pay attention and in some time you realize - the tradition was born. I've already told you Max and I go St. Patrick's parade in Moscow every year no matter the weather (it wasn't easy this year due to cold but we went anyway). Here is one more tradition of ours. Each month we go to philharmonic mostly to listen to classical music (however it is not always that genre). The start of the concert this Sunday was a little late so asked Max to make my photos and they ended being this post. For such occasion it's important for me to look properly. I usually stick to dresses because they look appropriate and ...
