If the trip was great and if you cycled a lot you tend to have less photos of you than you would have normally wanted. May be there was something about my outfits or may be my husband was too much consumed with regular photos of abouts but I actually don't have much photos of myself from that trip. This is probably the the best part of the trip Austrian Feldkirch (yes I did visit different parts of Austrian during the two trips this year). We actually wasn't really into this place when we've been planning - it is situated between The Lake Konstanz or Bodensee and Lichtenstein, a tiny country we really wanted to visit because both me and Max have a soft spot for tiny countries. This place offered cheaper accommodation and comfortable location so we decided to stay there. I was so happy we did! I liked this place so much - it was so beautiful, so comfortable, so pretty! I was crazy about the zoo and the castles, the food was lovely and so are the small streets in the center. It's funny but I think it was the highest point of all the trip. Superb! The weather was nice too however we had our share of rain. It was the heaviest one evening (we took a shelter in a cafe) and during our walk to the zoo (right in the middle with nowhere to hide, just to push forward). Also the hotel we stayed in was lovely and located in a beautiful old building, used to be clinic before and during WWII.
I wore a skirt, super comfortable sneakers (they definitely made my trip!), my cycling glasses to help facing the sun, fold-able backpack I am crazy about, I literally take it with us on each and every trip. Some accessories helped a lot to brighten up the look. Do you like it?
This travel post will not be complete without some sightseeing moment from the place. Hope you'll enjoy Feldkirch as much as we did.
My favorite and free (!) attraction is super cool and big zoo. It is also a great walking area. Bonus points for local animals and feeling of freedom for them we had.
Bonus: Austrian Bregenz photos.
ok alpacas are awesome everywhere. We just had to make the photo of them!
Happy faces when the ride is finished!

Oh wow looks like you had a lovely trip away. I am loving all your Austria photos too - just beautiful xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful place and great pictures, the one with the rainbow is my favorite. Austria is beautifully captured in the photos though you are not in most of them. I am the one always taking the photos so i rarely have myself in photos.
ReplyDeleteme too! I love taking photos so I am rarely on vacation photos. I think it's partially because I take so many outfit photos, lol
DeleteI haven't visited Austria yet but it looks amazing and definitely on my bucket list.
ReplyDeletei backpacked europe in my teens and spent more than two weeks in vienna, salzburg and innsbruck. Austria is beautiful and you have some amazing photographs. A well written piece.

It's so beautiful in Austria. I was there in 1994 and visited Salzburg and Innsbruck, and of course Vienna. But this city looks awesome too. I ♥ Austria.
ReplyDeleteWhat a charming town! It looks like so much fun. And so relaxing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! Honestly, while it sucks now to not have many photos of yourself on your trip, I think it's the sign of a great vacation. After all, if you're having so much fun that you forget to get pictures, there are sure to be some incredible memories to reflect on later!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. Such a beautiful place. Lovely hotel, zoo and nature. You look great in your cycling outfit.... fantastic accessories.
ReplyDeleteThe place has it's own certain charm. The important thing is that you enjoyed your trip!

ReplyDeleteYou got some great photos even though you aren't in a lot of them. I would love to visit Austria!
ReplyDeleteOh, wow. Every picture was better than the last one. I especially loved the rainbow, the white statues, the architecture, the villages in the middle of the mountains, and especially the staircase in the hillside.
ReplyDeleteWow! My favorite picture is the brick stairs ascending into the forest with the green canopy. What a beautiful place. Love the architecture!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I haven't been to Germany in so long. Love the look of the statues.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing.
I had never been to Australia, particularly Feldkirk - the place looks interesting, a lot of nature scenery. With all your pictures somehow I already saw how enjoyable this place is. Thanks for sharing your fun!
ReplyDeleteI love your sightseeing pictures in this post! That looks like a wonderful trip. I’ve never really considered visiting Austria, so this was a really fun read for me.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great experience. The photo that looks like a mini plaza with a fountain looks like the scene from Beauty and the Beast.
ReplyDeleteHappy to know that you were able to visit the local zoo. My boys would be thrilled to see the alpacas as we haven't seen one yet.
It looks like you really enjoyed yourself. This looks like such a peaceful and relaxing town and I'm sure the surrounding nature was even more beautiful in person!
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed your trip.. this is a place worth visiting, The Architecture are beautiful and the landmark are simply breathtaking. And your picture are awesome.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful trip, the mountains remind me a bit of the PNW of the United States or the Seattle area. You looked like you had a great time and it was great seeing the pretty towns and sculptures in addition to the natural beauty.
