Isolated not lonely

I had the most unusual birthday this week (on March the 31st). I was at home with husband and dogs. I wasn't working, running and watching fashion shows. I stayed home, ate cake, ordered delivery from one of my favorite places, watched studio Ghibli movies and played video games. I video-chatted a lot! The highlight of the day are my cakes. My very best husband spent hours caking it for me. I am forever grateful. It definitely was a birthday I will never ever forget!
Jelly unsweetened citrus cake with a moose (it is multicolored: light yellow, blue, orange, pinkish grapefruit, yellow and green layers!)
Honey-cake (honey and sea buckthorn berries) styled as gaming die to represent my board game love.

Stay safe, stay home even if you don't want to. Promise I miss hugging my family so much!

I was wearing:
very old topshop dress
Lizard necklace
cakes made my husband

Have a nice day,
Lyosha

  3. I love that saying isolated but not alone. As much as this quarantine in the states (NY) has been a downer, it is nice to have my family home for dinner every night. My girls are usually running around with dance and everything else life throws at them.

  10. Happy Birthday. How sweet of your husband and how talented he is. Sounds like the perfect lock down birthday! I love Ghibli movies too. I've been to a few of the real life inspiration spots for some of the movies here in Japan. We are very excited that a Ghibli amusement park is opening here in a couple of years time.

  13. What beautiful cakes! A very happy belated birthday to you! It's nice you still had cake to celebrate even if you did have to stay home - we had to have a party at home with no guests for my son's fourth birthday party as well, it's a strange time we are living in!

Hope that your weekend is going well :) We are all staying home and staying safe.

I am glad that you were able to make the best out of the situation and still celebrated your birthday with lovely cakes. My daughter's birthday was on the 23rd and I made her a cake, making do with whatever I had in stock. Stay safe and stay healthy. Hopefully, this will all be over soon.

  44. This new normal will take a lot of getting used to. I saw a video clip where there's a birthday cake and guy was wearing a surgical mask. He used a hairdryer to blow out the candles and there were 6 ipads and phones infront of him with his friends on the screen greeting him. It was sad and yet so futuristic at the same time. Glad your bday wasn't like that.

Jaime Ibiza Fashion show

It's been awhile since I have visited a  fashion show. I am so excited to get to see it from time to time here. This time I was happy enjoy and bag and luggage fashion show. The designer is pretty famous here in Mexico. He is from Guadalajara. I absolutely enjoyed the spectacle and the bags. I can easily see me rocking any of those!  Luggage collection was a special surprice. It is the first and new collection and it features cute styles, great quality and interesting shapes to carry you stuff the best way possible making trips even more enjoyable. I wore a very casual look. All brows, cute little back and comfortable shoes. I didn't get to wear something special because I was on a  go and in a bit of a hurry as I have had things to do right after. It was a great experience. I hope to see more fashion shows here. I was wearing: Cuidado con el Perro skirt and shoes MiuMiu bag H&M top   Have a nice day, Lyosha

Ruinas El Rey

Archeological site El Rey is located in the Cancun hotel zone, right next to the most scenic beach in my opinion playa Delfines. The part of the ancient town is actually located in the nearby museum Museo Maya Cancun (if you ever visit it, don't forget to also check the ruins in the garden). But the original town was a lot more than what you see in the museum. I highly suggest you to walk a little bit further and explore the ruins of the right hand side right after playa Delfines. It is a very tranquil place with lots of iguanas for the inthuiasts and ruins to explore. the entrance is inexpensive as well. My family had a lot of fun exploring the small ruins of our town. I have chosen to wear my favorite wideleg jeans, a crop top and practical closed shoes (I always suggest some soft of closed toes shoes to explore the ruins, it allows you to move freely without worring to hurt your  feet). Definitely perfect for a relaxing weekend I was wearing:   Have a nice day...

Nicosia crush

I normally post my vacation reports when I am on other vacation but what are the rules if not break them from time to time. Today I want to share with you some special moment of trip to Cyprus last month. I finally reached Nicosia, the Cyprus capital and met a fellow blogger. Nicosia is not only a capital but also the only capital divided in two: Cyprus part and Turkish part. But it is not the only nice thing about it. The city is beautiful and made for walking. It is so nice and easy to simply walk around the narrow streets wondering what next corner will bring. Great place to hang out especially accompanied with local guide and a fellow fashion blogger. I was so happy I spent my day in Nicosia that I wanted to share it with you the soonest. So here it is.   My outfit was based on the weather. I wore my yoga leggings and top from Tonica (yes, guilty of over wearing but it is just too comfy), Uniqlo vest because it is the best ever thing to keep yourself warm,...
