During 10-11th of June I was very close to my screen. I watched Global Talents Digital by Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Russia. I really loved digital fashion events. I miss real fashion and no matter how good the imitation is, the digital model is, it's not the same. Yes the digital era is here and we need digital clothes too (say hello to Zoom meetings and other similar stuff). It is very interesting to be able to touch modern fashion in some way. At first I planned to use official images but I made screenshots during the event with my phone and I ended up using my own screen shots here.
Above is digital collection of Kim Zulu from South Africa
Shell (USA)
Be.Li.Ve.
Svododa.Ravenstvo.Bratstvo (France). Collection inspired by vintage and Mortal Combat/Street Fighter.
Linus Leonardsson (Sweden). I love the how quicky the collection is, it looks a follow of his show last season, I was honored to attend it.
Femme De Mars. One more fashion designer I had an honor to experience in person. Facial Masks are not new here, the were a big thing last season as well.
Jake Lui. Sport style with high end materials like pure silk
Last but not least. A big name in Russia, Chapurin.

I hope you enjoyed this post!
Have a nice day,

I also have always loved watching fashion events on tv but I try not to do it too much :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so interesting! I wonder if this is going to be how a lot of fashion shows are done now.
ReplyDeleteI really hope the good old will be around for more brands. digital is good but life is way better even from 6th row
DeleteIt's always interesting to see how different each fashion show is depending on the designer. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI agree that it has to be better in person, but the one advantage to digital is that the companies get to choose their own background scenery and stages which can match their lines better.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that digital fashion events look like this! I think it's great that people now are innovating. Those clothes are really high fashion.
ReplyDeleteInteresting to see how far creations can go. I've always enjoyed watching catwalk, especially when I was working in Fashion, back in Paris.
ReplyDeleteGoing digital with everything is absolutely a huge change. However, I am glad there were still showcases in some capacity! Everything looks so interesting.
ReplyDeletethe creation of beauty is art.
Wow! Thanks for the screenshots. I haven't been to a virtual fashion show before, but this looks awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteWow...this virtual fashion show is really very amazing and lovely to watch..Thanks for sharing these Screenshots... ( World in Eyes)
ReplyDeleteHow cool! It's always neat to see the different pieces of fashion out there. These are some interesting looks.
ReplyDeleteIt is crazy how technology has evolved. These were neat to see.
ReplyDeleteI love me a good fashion show. I don't care if it is this way or live.I actually find it more easy to see it on video because you don't have the crowd talking near you or loud music around you. But I miss the lives event because it's a great way to socialize anyways I just love a good old fashion show.
ReplyDeleteWhat a unique way to do a fashion show. Things sure are making things different.
ReplyDeleteThis is so interesting, a lot of ideas are popping up everyday on how to make events and fashion more innovative.
ReplyDeleteI agree that a digital presentation just doesn't have the same type of energy as a real live fashion show but it's still really cool as alternative for designers to show their work in the midst of a pandemic.
ReplyDeleteat first look, i thought they were toys.
ReplyDeleteVirtual fashion shows sounds awesome and unique How I wish I have a chance to watch it too. Awesome photos.
ReplyDeletethe materials are still available online on Mercedes Benz fashion week Russia official website.
DeleteThe show must go on even under pandemic. Thank you for sharing this wonderful fashion show.
ReplyDeleteI never really watch fashion shows...but if I had to choose it most definitely would be in person. Digital is cool for now though I guess. This is Tonya from OneSavingSista I had to post anon because google won't let me post from my other email for some odd reason.
ReplyDeleteTruly innovative! Thanks for sharing

I've always been interested in watching fashion-related videos and this seems like it'd be fun to watch sometime! Thanks for sharing this with us!
ReplyDeleteI have never followed any big fashion event but would like to know more. Fashion industry adapts and innovates very quickly. I love the fact that they are still working hard despite the limitations.
ReplyDeleteOh my word! We have truly gone digital! I never knew something like is happening! I just learned something new today! A digital runway! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteHow this pandemic has created so many innovations across all the industry! Watching a fashion show online is going to be a new normal soon!
ReplyDeleteWow! Although this pandemic is not fun, it's really interesting to see the good that is coming from it.
ReplyDeleteI find this so interesting, simply because their styles are so varied yet it all comes together. It is almost as if there is no right or wrong when it comes to fashion. I know the fashion police will not agree with me but that's okay. Lol!
ReplyDeleteThis is neat. It is nice that they thought of going digital for their fashion shows. This will definitely increase their reach to more audiences.
ReplyDeleteSo much goodness coming out of this pandemic! Very nice to see that!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea that they have gone digital for sure, it is all about seeing change during this pandemic!
ReplyDeleteWow, this is so amazing! It's great that almost all are going digital. Stay safe!

These are such amazing and very interesting...loved it..these looks so adorable and stunning..Great work..Thanks for sharing this.. (World in Eyes)
ReplyDeleteWow! A virtual fashion show! Sounds really interesting! Very creative. Did you also had a show stopper for this event?
ReplyDeletelove how creative they got for the show, so fun! i wish i could have seen it live!
ReplyDeleteI used to enjoy fashion a lot when I was younger. I attended the clothes show live event a few times. I prefer the timeless fashion over seasonal trends, though it's always interesting to watch the new shows to see the trends come back around!
ReplyDeleteThat was so cool, attending a digital fashion show via your blog! I guess it doesn't have the atmosphere about going to an in-person event, but at least it means you don't miss out altogether.
ReplyDeleteI really like these digital events. The shows you watched were so cool and super fashionable!
ReplyDeleteI love how they incorporated the facial mask. This is so cool to learn and watch.
ReplyDeleteI have only seen Linus Leonardsson's and Jake lui's work earlier. These all designs are real good..
ReplyDeleteLinus is pretty awesome right? I don't think his digital verson was on par with real life though
DeleteNot for real life but in general it is amazing.
DeleteYes digital definitely is the future for fashion. And what a great show. Thoroughly enjoyed going through with the new masks in place.
ReplyDeleteIt's great to still be able to watch fashion events on tv! I'm glad to see masks and expect to see more at events in the future!
ReplyDeleteWhile I’m sure it’s a little more immersive in person it’s still nice to see new looks in general
ReplyDeleteme too. better than nothing, not loosing it - is something I normally say about it
DeleteInteresting to see so many different forms of fashion, not all of them are according to my taste but to each their own!
ReplyDeleteThere's such a variety of clothing at fashion shows, from monochromatic to very colorful. I love seeing what the designers come up with each year so that I can wonder what will trickle down to our stores in a few years.
ReplyDeleteSuch a huge talent we can see here. Thank you for showing this off. I am sure there are a lot who can relate here.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE attending fashion events, and this one looks amazing! There's so many talented people in the world :)

Wow..I had no clue there was something like a digital fashion show. But it does make so much sense for the business. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOh wow what a cool show for sure this is right up my street and looks good to be involved with x
ReplyDeleteThis was a very intresting thing to watch.
ReplyDeleteI didn't even know that digital fashion shows were a thing! I can see both the advantages and disadvantages of it. I'm like you though, I would rather go to one in person. Sometimes the old way is the best, and there is no comparison. Do you think that traditional fashion shows will resume once the Coronavirus has calmed down or a vaccine is developed, or is digital shows the new normal?
ReplyDeleteI have mixed feelings about digital fashion shows. On one hand, I understand the necessity especially safety wise during the pandemic. On the other hand, I appreciate the hard work runway models do and love seeing the fashion in real-life.
ReplyDeleteThis is really interesting. While I know that the digital fashion show just isn't quite the same as being able to attend the actual event, I find it really interesting to see how fashion designers are embracing the concept of digital fashion shows in order to keep the industry moving forward. In our current situation, this is super innovative. a great way to make the best of the restrictions we are facing. That being said, I definitely think that the traditional fashion show will open back up again when all of this is behind us! There is no substitute...
ReplyDeleteSome of these clothes look like they were design by a blind person.
ReplyDeleteI know we all have different taste when it comes to clothes but damn the majority of these clothes make Kanye West's clothes like great.
Looks like some glam shots here Lyosha. Gotta love a good fashion show.
