Global Talents Digital

During 10-11th of June I was very close to my screen. I watched Global Talents Digital by Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Russia. I really loved digital fashion events. I miss real fashion and no matter how good the imitation is, the digital model is, it's not the same. Yes the digital era is here and we need digital clothes too (say hello to Zoom meetings and other similar stuff). It is very interesting to be able to touch modern fashion in some way. At first I planned to use official images but I made screenshots during the event with my phone and I ended up using my own screen shots here.
Above is digital collection of Kim Zulu from South Africa
 Shell (USA)
 Be.Li.Ve.
Svododa.Ravenstvo.Bratstvo (France). Collection inspired by vintage and Mortal Combat/Street Fighter.
Linus Leonardsson (Sweden). I love the how quicky the collection is, it looks a follow of his show last season, I was honored to attend it.
Femme De Mars. One more fashion designer I had an honor to experience in person. Facial Masks are not new here, the were a big thing last season as well.
Jake Lui. Sport style with high end materials like pure silk
Last but not least. A big name in Russia, Chapurin.

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Have a nice day,

  4. I agree that it has to be better in person, but the one advantage to digital is that the companies get to choose their own background scenery and stages which can match their lines better.

  5. I didn't know that digital fashion events look like this! I think it's great that people now are innovating. Those clothes are really high fashion.

  12. I love me a good fashion show. I don't care if it is this way or live.I actually find it more easy to see it on video because you don't have the crowd talking near you or loud music around you. But I miss the lives event because it's a great way to socialize anyways I just love a good old fashion show.

  15. I agree that a digital presentation just doesn't have the same type of energy as a real live fashion show but it's still really cool as alternative for designers to show their work in the midst of a pandemic.

  19. I never really watch fashion shows...but if I had to choose it most definitely would be in person. Digital is cool for now though I guess. This is Tonya from OneSavingSista I had to post anon because google won't let me post from my other email for some odd reason.

  25. I find this so interesting, simply because their styles are so varied yet it all comes together. It is almost as if there is no right or wrong when it comes to fashion. I know the fashion police will not agree with me but that's okay. Lol!

  33. I used to enjoy fashion a lot when I was younger. I attended the clothes show live event a few times. I prefer the timeless fashion over seasonal trends, though it's always interesting to watch the new shows to see the trends come back around!

    ReplyDelete
  34. That was so cool, attending a digital fashion show via your blog! I guess it doesn't have the atmosphere about going to an in-person event, but at least it means you don't miss out altogether.

  35. I really like these digital events. The shows you watched were so cool and super fashionable!

  42. There's such a variety of clothing at fashion shows, from monochromatic to very colorful. I love seeing what the designers come up with each year so that I can wonder what will trickle down to our stores in a few years.

  48. I didn't even know that digital fashion shows were a thing! I can see both the advantages and disadvantages of it. I'm like you though, I would rather go to one in person. Sometimes the old way is the best, and there is no comparison. Do you think that traditional fashion shows will resume once the Coronavirus has calmed down or a vaccine is developed, or is digital shows the new normal?

    ReplyDelete
  49. I have mixed feelings about digital fashion shows. On one hand, I understand the necessity especially safety wise during the pandemic. On the other hand, I appreciate the hard work runway models do and love seeing the fashion in real-life.

  50. This is really interesting. While I know that the digital fashion show just isn't quite the same as being able to attend the actual event, I find it really interesting to see how fashion designers are embracing the concept of digital fashion shows in order to keep the industry moving forward. In our current situation, this is super innovative. a great way to make the best of the restrictions we are facing. That being said, I definitely think that the traditional fashion show will open back up again when all of this is behind us! There is no substitute...

  51. Some of these clothes look like they were design by a blind person.
I know we all have different taste when it comes to clothes but damn the majority of these clothes make Kanye West's clothes like great.

Jaime Ibiza Fashion show

It's been awhile since I have visited a  fashion show. I am so excited to get to see it from time to time here. This time I was happy enjoy and bag and luggage fashion show. The designer is pretty famous here in Mexico. He is from Guadalajara. I absolutely enjoyed the spectacle and the bags. I can easily see me rocking any of those!  Luggage collection was a special surprice. It is the first and new collection and it features cute styles, great quality and interesting shapes to carry you stuff the best way possible making trips even more enjoyable. I wore a very casual look. All brows, cute little back and comfortable shoes. I didn't get to wear something special because I was on a  go and in a bit of a hurry as I have had things to do right after. It was a great experience. I hope to see more fashion shows here. I was wearing: Cuidado con el Perro skirt and shoes MiuMiu bag H&M top   Have a nice day, Lyosha

Ruinas El Rey

Archeological site El Rey is located in the Cancun hotel zone, right next to the most scenic beach in my opinion playa Delfines. The part of the ancient town is actually located in the nearby museum Museo Maya Cancun (if you ever visit it, don't forget to also check the ruins in the garden). But the original town was a lot more than what you see in the museum. I highly suggest you to walk a little bit further and explore the ruins of the right hand side right after playa Delfines. It is a very tranquil place with lots of iguanas for the inthuiasts and ruins to explore. the entrance is inexpensive as well. My family had a lot of fun exploring the small ruins of our town. I have chosen to wear my favorite wideleg jeans, a crop top and practical closed shoes (I always suggest some soft of closed toes shoes to explore the ruins, it allows you to move freely without worring to hurt your  feet). Definitely perfect for a relaxing weekend I was wearing:   Have a nice day...

Nicosia crush

I normally post my vacation reports when I am on other vacation but what are the rules if not break them from time to time. Today I want to share with you some special moment of trip to Cyprus last month. I finally reached Nicosia, the Cyprus capital and met a fellow blogger. Nicosia is not only a capital but also the only capital divided in two: Cyprus part and Turkish part. But it is not the only nice thing about it. The city is beautiful and made for walking. It is so nice and easy to simply walk around the narrow streets wondering what next corner will bring. Great place to hang out especially accompanied with local guide and a fellow fashion blogger. I was so happy I spent my day in Nicosia that I wanted to share it with you the soonest. So here it is.   My outfit was based on the weather. I wore my yoga leggings and top from Tonica (yes, guilty of over wearing but it is just too comfy), Uniqlo vest because it is the best ever thing to keep yourself warm,...
