I love this silk skirt! I feel a tourist every time I wear it and a sexy tourist at that too. I wore this outfit to have a nice long weekend walk/beach/food morning. It's funny how I feel like breezy when it comes to much waited beach time. Huge hat works the best to shade face and eyes from sun. And yes I am guilty ones again of using a tote bag as a diaper bag. It actually works so nicely!
After strolling in the morning, we made a little stop at home for couple of things to do and went on Mayan ceremony in one of local parks nearby. I was impressed! It felt very special and I loved it even more because there were mostly locals present. On little wins side I got almost everything they explained about the ceremony (apart of couple of words I didn't know the meaning of which is fine and it didn't affect my general understand and experience). I am very excited with my rapidly growing Spanish.
I was wearing:
H&M skirt and top
Uniqlo x Ines de la Fressage hat
Michael Kors bag
Cuidado con el Perro shoes
Have a nice day,
Lyosha
Your outfit was perfect for a day out. And I love the pattern on your skirt. Also thanks for the idea of using a tote bag as a diaper bag!
ReplyDeleteI love how the skirt design with a split to show off long legs, lovely sweet on you. Nice stylish. Cheers Siennylovesdrawing
ReplyDeleteTo tell the truth I think split makes legs appear longer and it is a huge perk to me
DeleteThis seems like an awesome day out...You look so happy...Super love the outfit you picked, very summery...
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe it's a H&M silk skirt! Actually, one of my favorite skirts is a silk skirt, too. It's like a wrap around scarf by Hilfiger - the perfect travel companion, by the way (the skirt, not Hilfiger... ;-) )
ReplyDeleteI was shocked when I saw it there but it was there is their upper section. I wear scarves as tops a lot, as skirt less often. My favorite is my Ferragamo scarf and it's my favorite companion as well (not Ferragamo himself surely, heheh)
DeleteI love the skirt too, it really does look really lovely on you. It must have been interesting to go and see the Mayan ceremony in the park.
ReplyDeleteyes, it was super awesome! They have many ceremonies held here but it's almost always is very staged and oriented to tourists and things like that. This one felt sacred.
DeleteThat printed skirt is beautiful on you! it looks so good for the heat too :) It sounds like you had a lovely day!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the link up :) Hope you are having a wonderful week :)
Away From The Blue
it's perfect for hotter weather indeed. I think it might also work nicely to hide from sun because it's actually pretty good at covering your body. Wishing you a wonderful week as well
DeleteI got a similar skirt from H&M too and it is one of my favorites too. What a chic and comfortable outfit.
ReplyDeleteif we lived closer we could twin the outfit so easily! alas!
DeleteThe ceremony sounds absolutely incredible! I love that skirt. It is beautiful!
ReplyDeletethe creation of beauty is art.
The ceremony looks so interesting and the surrounding environment feels light, love being in nature. Super cute travel outfit!
ReplyDeleteit did feel so real and so magical. I am fascinated how much alive the beliefs of old are here
DeleteYou have such a beautiful outfit on for the ceremony. I really like your patterned skirt.
ReplyDeleteYour skirt looks absolutely amazing! It looks perfect for both the weather and the ceremony that you attended. I'm glad you're able to learn Spanish so quickly and fully immerse yourself in events like that.
ReplyDeleteto tell the truth Spanish is my second foreign language, I started learning it in my 20s but didn't use it almost never. so my Spanish growing that quickly is partly thanks to remembering stuff I forgot. but yes, it feels awesome when you start feeling how you belong to your new home
