Merida, part 2. Dzibilchaktun

As a huge lovers of ruins and history and old stones we couldn't possibly passed on an opportunity to visit the ruins. Dzibilchaktun was a marvel and we enjoyed the ruins of the old city so much. It added a lot that we were allowed to almost fully interact with the zone, climb up, sit on the stones and such. Too bad the cenote was closed but when it's opened we'll make sure to visit again. The place says it all really, I loved it SO much. I found it most curious that it was an actual living vibrant and kinda big city years back, ot a religious place, it was a place where people flocked to live their lives. Very fascinating!

I chose a loose dress and a polo. It's very comfortable to wear, has minimal impact of local weather (if it's hotter I have move coverage but generally won't feel hot since the fit is loose; if it's colder I have longer sleeves and a tiny bit of layering. a win-win). The whole outfit looks pretty and I loved the mix.

I was wearing:
DKNY dress
Lacoste polo top
Cuidado con el Perro shoes
c/o Glasseshop glasses

Have a nice day,
Lyosha

  9. I love that you layered your outfit to work with both warmer and cooler weather. Such a great idea, especially at this time of year. The ruins look like an amazing place to visit! I love places like that, the history, and simply imagining what life looked like when they were being built.

Mixing, remixing and matching. That's what we do so often that don't actually understand. I love feeling comfy and stylish at the same time so I need some remixing with cool comfy pants. That's why I tend to wear same pants so often esp when it goes to everyday life. I'm sorry but I'm not the one who snaps outfits everyday (I'm in Russia which means that I leave home for work when it's still dark and come back when it's dark already) so many out my ideas or layers stay not seen, This is an outfit that made it. Max and I went to get some shopping therapy to local mall. Our small camera was with us so we went to kid's sectore and took some photos. Why not?     I was wearing: Jacket c/o Oasap Glasses c/o Firmoo Pants c/o Motel Rocks Shoes Alba Coat Desigual   Have a nice day, Lyosha

Still can't skate

Each year they set up a free artificial ice skating area as part of Christmas village in our city. I have tried it several times before and could never figure it out. But it is fun anyways. There is something in doing something horribly without any shame. I am not trying to excel in it and for some reason it it truly deeply liberating. What do you think? I wore simple and comfy outfit. Cropped top with Nightmare before Christmas print (it is Christmas theme for me, ok), comfortable back cargo pants and sneakers. You can not really top that. I was wearing: Cuidado con el Perro top and pants Converse shoes   Have a nice day, Lyosha

So cold!

Winter sure is a harsh season for any person living in the northern parts of the world. The temperature hits below 0 C, there is a lot of snow and such... It might be tempting to pretend to be a bear and stay at home doing nothing. But you definitely shouldn't do that. Relax, go out and do your best to enjoy the current weather. Or at least make yourself move as fast as possible to move from point A to point B and enjoy your life when you are finally at the place of destination. The key is to get dressed properly. Try more layers or use very warm items. Also thermal underwear (the simplest and cheapest being Heattech from Uniqlo) might help a lot. As for me I mix warmer items, layering and smart materials to achieve the best result. Today I post my little outfit I wore on Friday. Met with my family, did some shopping and went to gym. Overall I was spending a fair amount of time outside so I needed to stay warm. Surely being a blogger I couldn't avoid desire to still look...
