CDMX, Cuidad de Mexico or Mexico City. The capital of Mexico. It really impressed me a lot. There is still so much more to explore and enjoy there. I can't wait to come back and see it all through and through. I believe soon it will come true but with different company.
I had an opportunity not only to make a short trip to Mexico city but also to meet up with my sister who was travelling there for work. When your sister resides in Copenhagen, Denmark and you - in Cancun, Mexico being on the same continent is closer to the win, much less same country. And so I jumped on a plane and killed two birds with one stone.
Mexico city is very vibrant, fun and filled with everything fun. Tons of museums (it really pains me just how little I have seen), venues for concerts (it pains me to admit I didn't get to listen to Mexico Philharmonic Orchestra,,, yet), restaurants and street food (I am sorry but it IS important) and quant spots. I'll leave you with some photos instead of being a boring tour guide. If you ever around you'll have more fun booking the excursion or discovering everything on your own
While Mexico City has a lot to offer there is one thing where it is lacking, majorly. It's the weather. It was pretty cold during the whole day late February. I had to make a comfortable and warm outfit to make it through the day. mostly outside. I have chosen jeans, because I can't come up with better bottoms for active travels, tennis shoes (there was a chance of rain I couldn't risk) and lots of layers. I wore a top underneath, a hoodie (very handy as it had a hood as well, it is a must for me for the plane, as my head easily gets cold and it's always chilly during the flights). I wore glasses because I naturally wanted my vision at 100%. Small bag helped me carry my earphones and phone, wallet, case for glasses, keys, and basic wipes. Yes I wore socks too. It adds a lot in warmth. Uniclo jacket is very common in any travel wardrobe and I am no different. It just works so nice!
I was wearing:
Uniqlo jacket and jeans
local small bis Kiki hoodie
Prima tennis shoes
c/o iGlassesshop glasses
Etro purse
Have a nice day,
Lyosha
